Abstract
Medicinal plants and their secondary metabolites are increasingly being utilized as supplemental medicine to treat various ailments. A broad spectrum of illnesses, including rheumatic and immune-mediated disorders, diabetes, cardiovascular accidents, and more, are classified as pathologic conditions that cause inflammation. We provide a few plants whose anti-inflammatory properties have been proven in investigations, both clinical and experimental. The introduced medicinal plants in this review are Azadirachta indica, Aloe vera, Curcuma longa, Cassia fistula, Boswellia serrata, Citrus auranticum, Bacopa monneiri, Emblica officinalis, Garsinia mangostana, Moringa olifera, Vinca rosea, Vitex neugundo, Menthol,Eucalyptus oil, Piper longum, Achillea millefolium.Since there is no one-size-fits-all solution for treating inflammation, this review uses herbal medicine and lifestyle modifications to try to attain a multimodal therapeutic approach to inflammation.
