Abstract
Sejak beberapa dekad kebelakangan ini, favoritisme sering diperkatakan di organisasi yang menjadi amalan tidak sihat yang tidak formal yang mempengaruhi kejayaan dan pertumbuhan organisasi. Kajian ini adalah untuk menentukan sama ada Favoritisme (pilih kasih) wujud di Organsisasi dan, jika wujud ia akan menjelaskan jenisnya dan mengemukakan pandangan kakitangan mengenai sebab favoritisme (pilih kasih). Ini adalah kajian deskriptif dan populasinya terdiri daripada kakitangan Orgasnisasi kerajaan di Institusi Pengajian Tinggi. Kajian ini dijalankan dengan mendapatkan pandangan daripada 552 orang staf yang dipilih secara rawak menggunakan borang soal selidik secara atas talian. Skala telah dibangunkan sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Mengikut data yang diperolehi melalui kajian ini, boleh ditegaskan bahawa favoritisme (pilih kasih) wujud dalam bidang bukan akademik dan akademik seperti berikut di universiti: pelantikan (dekan, pengarah, ketua jabatan); pemilihan tenaga akademik; agihan kewangan; penentuan tahap beban staf; keadilan Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang, kenaikan pangkat akademik; kenaikan pangkat staf bukan akademik; kekurangan komunikasi yang berkesan; pembukaan jabatan baharu dan penubuhan unit baharu; dan dalam pembentukan lantikan jawatankuasa. Penemuan kajian ini akan dapat membantu pihak pengurusan dalam memastikan tindakan dapat diambil bagi mengelakkan daripada terus berlaku amalan favoritisme (pilih kasih) yang boleh mempengaruhi pertumbuhan organisasi.
