Abstract
Introduction In this present era of the utilization of active principles in medicine, the basic formulations of Bhaishajya Kalpana remain a main source of modern research. Avaleha kalpana is one of the high potency formulation of herbal and mineral drugs with low life expectancy and on the other hand Granules of the same Avaleha has same potency with high life expectancy. Standard operating procedure for the formulation of granules was adopted to make Shramahara Mahakashaya Granules. Two basic components Guda (Jaggery) and Khanda sharkara (Sugar) were chosen to make Granules. After complete process and making of the granules, the Khanda sharkara granules was better in shape, size, has no viscosity and easy in consumption. At the other hand Guda (Jaggery) granules was stick and not carrying the size and shape. This study was undertaken with the aim of formulate the granules with two basic components of Avaleha. Granules of Khanda sharkara fulfill the minimal quality and easy to consumption. Aim Granules were made from Shramahara Mahakashaya Kwatha to increase shelf life and enhance palatability. Materials and Methods Two batches were prepared for these preparations. One batch was made by Khanda Sharkara and the second batch was made by Guda. Results Converting into granules with Guda (Jaggery) was found to be difficult, but replacing it with Khanda Sharkara yielded the desired characteristics of the granules. Conclusion Shramahara Mahakashaya Kwatha was transformed into Shramahara Mahakashaya Granules to increase shelf life and improve palatability, making them consumable.
