ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is one of the foundational elements of "e-agriculture", which served as the hub for extension work. The use of information and communication technology (ICT) in agriculture is becoming more and more significant. The phrase "Information and Communication Technology" (ICT) refers to both online and offline digital information repositories as well as computer hardware and software, broadcasting, and telecommunications technologies. E-agricultural is a new field that aims to improve information and communication systems to promote agriculture and rural development. E-agriculture is more particularly the conceptualization, design, development, evaluation, and use of novel information and communication technologies (ICT) in rural areas, with a strong focus on agriculture. One of the action lines named in the statement and plan of action of the World Summit on the Information Society is e-agriculture. The task of planning actions for the action applications on e-agriculture has been given to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This paper studies the importance of ICT in farming areas and focuses on improving the lives of the rural poor by introducing various new technologies to them for developing more relevant and rapidly functioning technologies.
