This paper develops a deterministic inventory model to determine the optimal value of retained units with continuous replenishment. For disposing the excessive inventories, the inventory manager offers the special sales allowing discount. This model is under the consideration of deterioration of products and allowing shortages. This model deals with the selling cost and the returning cost to determine the expected total cost.
