Introducing innovations and new approaches in the agricultural sector is not an uncommon thing. These changes are reshaping the way we produce and consume agricultural products. The changing consumer demands and preferences do hold great importance in this field. Reaching the target customers is indeed the intention of every producer. However, it is rather a challenging task for the farmers who depend on the traditional value chain. The value of the product largely determines its market potential. Processing is therefore suggested to improve the value of the commodity. An entrepreneurial spirit is required in this sector to make the change. Adopting entrepreneurship in the agribusiness value chain is highly desirable today, as it enables both farmers and non-farmers to explore more about the raw products. The present study attempts to examine the emerging trends in the agribusiness sector of Kerala with focus on food processing.
