Abstract: The proposed system of using drip irrigation with the help of IoT and soil moisture sensors has several advantages over traditional irrigation methods. By directing water directly to the roots, it helps to reduce water wastage and optimize crop growth. The use of IoT technology and soil moisture sensors also allows for more efficient and precise irrigation scheduling, helping to conserve water resources and reduce energy costs. The soil moisture sensors provide real-time data on soil moisture levels, which can be used to automate the irrigation process. The sensors can be connected to a central control unit, which can then be programmed to automatically turn on or off the motor, based on the data collected by the sensors. This eliminates the need for manual intervention and ensures that the plants receive the right amount of water at the right time. The proposed system can help farmers save water, reduce energy costs, and optimize crop growth, making agriculture more sustainable and efficient.
