Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have drawn a lot of attention in recent years due to their applicability for a wide range of civil, military, and societal purposes. The goal of the current project is to develop an unmanned amphibious vehicle that incorporates the features of a multi- rotor UAV. The amphibious vehicle’s components and subsystems are chosen with proper attention for structural and environmental factors.
For steady operations in flight and water-borne modes, a prototype with a 0.5kg payload capacity is being created. By using Internet of things (IoT) water sample collection is performed in a typical lake and water quality is measured using TDS and EC meter. The designed vehicle is anticipated to fulfil the functional needs of disaster missions addressing the water quality monitoring of large water bodies.
