An epigrammatic impression of the most recent developments in analytical views of degradation profiling of pharmaceuticals, including active pharmaceutical ingredient, is described in this article. To give details on the processes and end results of degradation. This article offers a road map for when and how to conduct studies, helpful tools for planning tough scientific experiments, and instructions on how to record and disseminate results in order to achieve development and regulatory objectives. According to ICH recommendations, some factors might cause degradation, such as light, oxidation, dry heat, acidic, basic, hydrolysis, etc. The forced degradation experiments are best illustrated by ICH Q1A, QIB, and Q2B. The strategic ideas and developments in forced degradation studies are reviewed in this article. Studies on degradation are conducted at every stage of pharmaceutical research, production, and packaging. It aims to determine whether a method is stability indicating by assessing the degradation profile of an appropriate API and/or medications.
