This review aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the excipients commonly used in immediate release tablet formulations, their functions, selection criteria, and their impact on drug release profiles. Understanding the role of excipients in immediate release tablet formulations is crucial for formulators to develop effective and efficient dosage forms.
