Abstract
Development of a Centralized Electronic Medical Record System – in HealthCare & Governance Yogesh Kumar Jha* The development of a Centralized Electronic Medical Record System (CEMRS) has been a significant breakthrough in the healthcare industry, offering unprecedented benefits for patients and healthcare providers. This research-based software aims to provide a comprehensive and secure electronic medical record system that enables healthcare providers to access patient medical records anytime and from anywhere. The CEMRS is a desktop application that can be used by any medical hospital or clinic to maintain the medical records of patients. It offers different types of forms like: admit form, operation form, discharge form, consent form, declaration form. These forms are designed to capture all the necessary details about a patient's medical history, diagnosis, treatment, and medication, enabling healthcare providers to access this information whenever needed. The CEMRS also allows patients to access their medical records, which can empower them to make informed decisions about their healthcare. Moreover, the system provides an efficient way of communication between healthcare providers, ensuring better coordination and collaboration among them. In terms of governance, the CEMRS is a significant tool for policymakers and healthcare regulators. It provides them with accurate and timely data on healthcare utilization, disease patterns, and healthcare outcomes, enabling them to make informed decisions about healthcare policy and resource allocation. The system uses advanced security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient data. All data is stored in a central database, which can be accessed securely by authorized healthcare providers only. In conclusion, the development of a Centralized Electronic Medical Record System has the potential to revolutionize the healthcare industry in India, offering benefits for patients, healthcare providers, and policymakers. The CEMRS developed in this research-based software project provides an efficient, secure, and reliable solution for maintaining patient medical records, ensuring continuity of care, and improving healthcare outcomes.
