Aspergillus niger causes black mould rot of onion (Allium cepa), a fungal pathogen that causes various significant post-harvest rot diseases that cause economic losses. Because of the fungi's diverse host range and global dispersion, a single management method is ineffective. This article will be useful in learning about the black mould rot disease of onions in the field as well as in storage.
