Abstract
This study examines the demographic composition of Ladakh, focusing on its social dimensions. Ladakh, a region in the Indian Union Territory of Ladakh, exhibits unique socio-cultural characteristics due to its geographic location and historical context. The study explores the different social groups and it also focuses on predominant languages spoken, population growth and density, reliance on external support, and income generation sources. By delving into these aspects, the study sheds light on the unique socio-cultural dynamics of Ladakh's population
