The rapid advancements in Internet of Things (IoT) technology have paved the way for transformative applications in various sectors, including home automation. IoT-based home automation systems have gained significant attention due to their ability to seamlessly integrate and control diverse smart devices within residential settings. This review research article aims to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art developments, challenges, and future prospects of IoT-based home automation.
The article begins with an introduction to the fundamental concepts and components of IoT-based home automation, emphasizing the interconnectedness of devices and the role of communication protocols. A thorough literature review is conducted, encompassing recent research articles, conference papers, and industry reports, to explore the key advancements and innovations in this field.
The review identifies and analyzes various aspects of IoT-based home automation, including smart sensors, actuators, wireless communication protocols, data analytics, and user interfaces.
