Abstract
BSE or popularly known as Bombay Stock Exchange is Asia’s one of the oldest and largest stock market. Every year BSE enlists companies in the ranks from top 50, 100 and 200. These companies are well performing companies financially as well as from market operations. The deep understanding of the financial information of the trends of these companies can help investors and decision makers to take better decisions. The present paper emphasis to study the financial performance of selected 100 BSE listed companies in India. The area of study covers top 100 public listed companies for the financial year 2022-23. It is based on secondary collected from the portal of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and Prowess IQ Database. The collected data was analyzed using mean, median, correlation and graphs like pie chart and histogram. The study concludes that all the companies that rank top 100 showed strong profitability ratios and liquidity ratios. The average operating ratios for overall all the companies showed satisfactory. Also the study showed that there is a strong and positive correlation between profitability ratios, liquidity ratios and operating ratios of these companies.
