Abstract

One of the most important question in microbiology nowdays, is how apparently harmless, commensal yeast like Candida spp. Can cause a rising number of infections. The occurrence of the disease require firstly the attachment of the host cell, followed by the invasion of the tissue. The adaptability translate into a rapid ability to respond to stress factors, to take up nutrients or to multiply under different condition. By forming complex intracellular network such as biofilm, candida spp. Become not only more refractive to antifungal therapies but also more prone to cause disease. The inter microbial interaction can inhance the virulence of a strain. In vivo, the fungal cell face a multitude of challenges and as a result, they develop complex stratergies serving one ultimate goal survival. This review present the virulence factor of the most important candida spp. Contributing to a better understanding of the onset of candidiasis and raising awareness of the highly complex interspecies interaction that can change the outcome of the disease. The candida genus comprises opportunistic fungi that can become pathogenic when the immune system of the host fails. Candida albicans is most important and prevalent species. The presence of intrinsic and developed resistance against a zole antifungal has been extensively documented among several candida species the advent of original and re-emergence of classical fungal disease have occurred as a consequence of the development of antifungal resistance phenomenon.the design of original drug from traditional medicine provide new promises in the modern clinic. Candida spp. And focuses on the mechanism of action associated with the traditional agent used to treat those infection as well as the current understanding of the molecular basis of resistane development in the fungal species. Candidiasis common oppourtunistic fungal infection of the oral cavity may be cause discomfort in dental patient. Candida spp.are most common fungal pathogen isolated in immunocomprised hosts particularly cancer patient. Numerous clinical manifestation of candidiasis have been recognized including localized infection such as orophyngeal candidiasis or focal hepatic candidiasis and disseminated infection resulting from hematogenous spread with or without documented fungemia. Candida albicans is isolated is approximately 40% cases of fungemia other candida species. This pathology has wide variety of treatment which has been studied until these days. The present study offer a literature review on the treatment of oral candidiasis with purpose of estabilish which treatment of oral candidiasis with purpose estabilish which treatment is most suitable in such cases. Nystatin and amphotericin were the most drug used locally, fluconazole oral suspension is proving to very effective drug in treatment of oral candidiasis.
