Abstract
Pergularia Daemia trellis vine is a hispid perennial vine in the family asclepiadaceae with an extensive range in old world topic and subtropics Traditionally the plant p.daemia was used anthelmintic and laxative, antipyretic and expectorant also used treat infantile diarrhoea and malarial intermittent fever and possesses stomachic, laxative and diuretic properties useful in cough biliousness and sores eyes. The herbs used in different form such as juice extracted. The leaves of pergularia extensa used as expectorant in diarrhea and other digestion related problems. The swelling inflammation and pain the joints all parts of herbs provide relief form bleeding piles and intestinal worm. Habit: - a perennial twiner with milky juice foetid hairy. Leaves:-Ovate, cordate is thin inflorescence: Lateral cymes. Medicinal plants are gift human beings to lead disease free healthy life. Pergularia daemia tropical &subtropical regions such as medicinal plant is Pergularia daemia. It is a perennial herb belonging to Asclepiadaceae family and it is distributed in tropical and sub-tropical regions. The whole plant is used in treatment Jaundice since ancient times. It is show anthelminthic, laxative and anti-pyretic properties. It has treat jaundice, anthelmintic, anti-pyretic ,expectorant and also in infantile diarrhoea .phytochemically used treating various ailments human beings phytochemically plants been investigated a cardenolides ,alkaloids ,triterpenes and saponins. anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, anticancer, anti-diabetic, antioxidant ,antibacterial, antifungal, analgesic, antifertility and central nervous system activity preliminary phytochemical analysis conducted on the different extracts i.e alcoholic50% ,petroleum ether, ethylacetate and n-butanolextract pergularia daemia indicates presences of flavonoids ,steroids alkaloids, triterpens and saponin. Family: Asclepediaceae was extracted with 50% alcohol and a fresh batch of the plant material was successively extracted with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and n-butanol to determine its diuretic activity. Pergularia daemia is vine-trellis a hispid perennial vine in family asclepiadaceae, extensive range on old tropics & subtropics. It has been used traditionally a number of aliments and it is sometimes called winning herb grows widely along the roadsides of India and also in the tropical and subtropical regions. The whole plant possess high medicinal value and traditionally used in treating various ailments
