Seawater intrusion generally occurs when withdrawal of fresh ground water from coastal aquifers results in declining groundwater levels, facilitating lateral and/or vertical migration of saline water causing deterioration of groundwater quality. Increasing usage of ground water tends to cause sea water intrusion.Seawater intrusion often happens in coastal areas. This study was conducted to determine the spread, levels of intrusion and factors that affect sea water intrusion in the research area. The Intrusion of the Sea water can be detected by the presence of pH Value, Electrical Conductivity and Total Dissolved Solids Method as per Indian Standard. The Analyzing is done with the Samples from Coastal aquifers in Three Station Points POOMBUHAR, TRANQUEBAR and KARAIKAL. The Sample is taken from 10 different locations directly perpendicular to the sea shore area each sample is taken 250 meters from the Seashore region. The Amount of sea water present in the groundwatercanbefoundbythesuitabletests.
