Online banking, sometimes known as e-banking, is a banking service provided using information and communication technology. Traditionally, even to withdraw money or conduct other ancillary duties, a client had to stand in a long line. Banking services are now available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via ATMs (Automated Teller Machines), online banking, NEFT and RTGS transfers, and so on, bridging the gap between the bank and the consumer. E-banking is more than just providing financial services through computerised means. With the increased use of smart phones in the current day, e-banking now includes mobile banking as well. Because of liberalisation, privatisation, and globalisation, banks were forced to begin offering e-banking services.
