The aim of the study is to analyse the impact and effect of COVID-19 on the tourism sector of Tamil Nadu. It also focuses on the impact on foreign and domestic tourist arrival, GDP and unemployment.The study reported that the unemployment rate in India was 7.02% on December 2018 and 8.02% on October 2019.The study cleary states that 1% increase in unemployment during COVID-19.In April 2020 unemployment rate in India was 23.52% and on May 2021 the unemployment rate was 11.84%.It shows that employment increased by 11.68% after the COVID -19 second wave.
