Plants have been utilised for medicinal and therapeutic purposes for thousands of years. One plant with a huge variety of medical benefits is Psidium guajava. It has long been recognised for its anti-inflammation, antibacterial, antioxidant, antidiarrheal, and antimutagenic qualities. Despite its vast biological applications, little is known about its therapeutic impact in the management of periodontal disease. Therefore, this review aims to emphasise the depth of information regarding P. guajava's use in the treatment of oral health care.
