Partition ,the process of dividing the sub continent along sectarian lines which took place in 1947 as India gained its independence from the British colonial empire. It is a great historic event with world wide percussion. It made people devastated due to its continuous violence. To escape from the situation people have chosen literature as a mode of escape and as we all know that history has always offered a great context in literary work which used appropriately can provide a good use and literature has always been a good source for presenting history from time to time. We have seen many movies and read so many books about the sufferings of people during the partition but have we ever wondered about those who left after the partition ,what was their take on it, how they react, how they feel. Whether they wanted to go on the other side of the line or not, whether they were treated right or accepted by their own community people. There were so many questions that went around when we read and had a close approach towards the partition and its After effect .
