Education means the all-round development of a human being and only through educational development, that the tribal society can be moved towards a complex society. Education is the main catalyst for the development of human resources. Education is a major central theme for the development of tribes. This study argues that investment in education is necessary for development. The state of Jharkhand is also famous for the minerals on the world map as well as for the ancient inhabitants of India, i.e., tribals. Literacy and education have always been at the center stage of discussion in the process of development of the tribal people of Jharkhand. This journal attempts to investigate and understand the literacy level and education among tribal children in Jharkhand. Being a tribal dominated state, what is the level of education among the tribes of Jharkhand state, what effective steps need to be taken in the field of education? The present study is an attempt to fill this gap.
