| Abstract: | The study also highlights the fact of socio-economic condition of tribal of India, the greatest Challenges that Government of India has been facing sine Independence is the proper provision of social justice to the Scheduled tribe people by improving their socio-economic conditions, for this a lot of development Programs has been initiated by the central as well as government. But it has been found out not only the social- economic conditions of tribal in India are worse than other social groups, The process we used to collect data to study the livelihood of people in Leptaguda village was Quantitative and Qualitative methodology and PRA tools.The methodology includes transect walk, group discussion, interviews and survey. It is an overall study of the Leptaguda village, which block is Lanjigarh block under Kalahandi district, Odisha. In Leptaguda village there are 83 HHs. Among these 95 HHs we selected 60 HHs in simple random sampling by lottery method for baseline survey of individual households. The economy of Leptaguda is primarily based on cultivation and wage labor. Basically, they are cultivating little millets, Paddy, finger millets, tomato, wheat, cabbage, green leaves etc |
