The aim of the present work is to evaluate antioxidant and anthelmintic activities of methanolic extract of Senna alata (L.) Roxb. leaves. The antioxidant activity was measured by percentage of scavenging and the concentration range was tested between 20 to 100 µg/ml. The Senna alata leaves at three different concentrations (25, 50 & 100 mg/ml) were tested against on Pheritima posthuma (Indian adult earthworms) for in-vitro anthelmintic activity. For 20 to 100 µg/ml range percentage of scavenging by DPPH assay (2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) was between 49.30 to 89.67 % (IC50 values ).
