| Abstract: | Autism is a Neurodevelopmental disorder that affects communication and behavior of children. Autism is known as “spectrum disorder” because there is wide variation in the type and severity of disorder (DSM-5, NIHM). Nature of the research is Qualitative. The research consists of total 25 studies. In which 10 studies regarding to Autism Spectrum Disorder and remaining 15 studies are regarding to marital satisfaction of parent of Autistic children. Objective of the research was to find out Gender differences (mother & father), psychological well-being and marital satisfaction of parents with Autistic children. Studies examined depression, anxiety and stress in parents with Autism children. Mother and father (gender difference) both have differences related to cognition, emotional attachment, rearing practices and taking care of autistic child. Further studies examined that due to spending more time with Autism children mother and father does not get enough time to each other and cause separation. So, Autism effects on marital life and quality of life of parents. |
