Abstract
Migration is the articulation of common for Mahabubnagar. Without Palamoor Labor sweat and Blood nothing is constructed in the country, like Nagarjuna Sagar, Damodar, Hiracud, Vishaka Iron Steel, Bhikaro etc., were constructed by Palamoor labor. The main cause for the migration from this district is lack of irrigation facilities, uncertainty rainfall. The size of the land holdings are small not only that but also fragmented and scatted at village. So that these land holdings are not giving the substantial income to the families. Land holdings are become uneconomical holdings. From this district 10 lacks people have been migrated out of 40 lacks as per 2011 censes. After formation of Telangana, the Telangana Government has introduced so many programmes like Rythubandhu, Rythubheema. These two are flagship programmes to the agriculture sector and these were appreciated by FAO. Besides these programme the Mahabubnagar received incessant rainfall for past 3 years. These are the some ground level reasons for reverse migration to the district. Now 75% of the people are returned and settled in their villages.
