| Abstract: | The paper aims to assess and evaluate the awareness and ability to use E-resources by postgraduate students, research scholars and faculty members in engineering colleges in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu, India. The researcher investigates the awareness and ability to use e-resources by postgraduate students, research scholars and faculty members of engineering colleges, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India through a survey method on a structured questionnaire. Statistical methods of 5 point scale have been used for data analysis. The study confirmed that 72.4% of postgraduate students, research scholars and faculty members of engineering colleges were aware of the e-resources and they were able to use e-resources like Access Engineering, NPTEL, E-Journal, Taylor and Francis, etc. and also found that there exists heterogeneity among the postgraduate students, research scholars and faculty members of engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu in the capability to utilize the e-resources obtainable in their specific engineering college libraries. |
