Tsitsi Dangarembga created a variety of female characters throughout her literary output. This paper discusses how women are portrayed in literary works by analyzing the novel "Nervous Condition" to observe how society and the issues of the female characters are depicted. With the aid of literature, this paper explores Tsitsi's unwavering belief that development occurs gradually, as demonstrated in the novel "Nervous Condition," the subject of the study, and highlights the injustices women experience, such as polygamy, wife-beating, childbirth, and the exclusion of women from education. Literature is the primary source for learning about global civilization, both past and present objective of this research is to call attention to the issue raised by the author and to explore the condition of women through the lens of literature.
