Abstract
MSMEs have played a major role in India's socioeconomic development during the past 60 years. This sector has robust, stable growth. India's MSMEs industry includes micro, cottage, and village industries. The MSME sector is vital to the country's industrial economy because of its minimal investment, strong employment potential, and widespread presence in rural and semi-urban areas. This sector ensures a more equitable distribution of national wealth and mobilises capital and skills that could otherwise go unused. The MSMEs sector ensures balanced and sustained economic growth, creating more jobs. Thus, the present study focuses on entrepreneurs' awareness of government programmes for MSMEs and the rate of availing them.
