Abstract: Abstract. Groundwater is a key component of freshwater. It fulfills the water needs of different sectors for various uses in a nation. The present research aims to examine the hydro-chemical condition of the ground water. A Total eleven parameters were studied and analyzed over a GIS platform, for groundwater quality assessment. The significant elements such as Ph, EC, TDS, TH, Ca, Na, Mg, Cl, F, So4, No3, have been considered to assess the quality of water. For each element a thematic layer has been created. Employing IDW method, and weighted overly analysis method an integrated water quality assessment at village level has been mapped. The result thus, obtained is useful for the identification of groundwater suitability for domestic purpose in the study area. Secondly, this research provides the groundwater quality condition and variations in the taluk to take decision for the sustainable groundwater development, groundwater quality supervision, and also for groundwater quality management actions.
