Abstract
It's no secret that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are an important source of economic growth and employment in most countries. They've even been called the "lifeblood" and "economic muscle" of those countries. Small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) play an important role in the hotel and tourist (H&T) sector as direct providers, brokers, and distributors of products. An analysis of the data based on descriptive statistics revealed that there was a 1) lack of insurance knowledge, 2) insurance costs, 3) government policies for small and midsize enterprises (SMEs), 4) a lack of trust in insurers, and 5) a lack of MSMEs insurance products. Lack of small company insurance products, lack of government policy, and low confidence in the insurance industry were found to be the main factors inhibiting small businesses from taking out insurance policies, according to the findings of the research like this is critical because it provides data that can be used by policymakers and health insurers to better safeguard this key segment of small and midsize enterprises (SMEs).
