Abstract
The present article deals with the regulations on cosmetics laid down by the Brazilian health agency to be followed by cosmetic manufactures & importers to introduce their product into Brazilian market. .Currently, in Brazil , the cosmetic market is increasing at CAGR of 4% by 2025 and brazil is one of the country where cosmetic products are sold very rapidly .Cosmetics are regulated by ministry of health under (Brazil health agency) Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária -Anvisa. Brazilian health agency had laid down the directives to be followed by stakeholders in Brazilian market, directives such RDC 07/2015: Regulatory requirements for personal care products, cosmetics and perfumes. RDC 36/1999: requirements for special labeling and various directives also includes classification, registration, market authorization , labeling & import procedure to be followed. The classification of cosmetics are categorized into two such as Grade 1 and grade 2, based on these classification registration, labeling & import of cosmetics takes place in brazil.
