Talent Management & its’ implementation in Indian service providing companies - mediating effects of organisational culture and human resource management practices
The objective of this paper is to understand talent management and its implementation in service providing companies in India with a mediating effect of organizational culture and human resource management practices. To achieve this, from past researches, the concept of talent management, effects of organization culture and the impact of human resource management practices on talent management and talent management implementation practices were examined. Also, the concept of competitive edge of the organization and, its measures of achieving objectives were studied. The processes followed were assessed with the aim of highlighting that talent management and its implementation has linkages to organization culture and human resource management practices that helps organization in gaining competitive edge. The paper followed the exploratory factor analysis method using questionnaire survey. The findings in extant past work showcased that talent management, significantly, affects in gaining competitive edge for organizations and is influenced by organizational culture and human resource management practices. Based on extant literature, the study finds that talent management is important for gaining the competitive edge and is shadowed by the organizational culture and human resource management practices. The study was conducted in the service providing companies in India spread across industry and the sample study concluded that companies should focus on organizational culture and its component that impacts the decisions of adopting human resource management practices and that further influences the talent management strategies and its implementation within an organization. Also, that the elements of organization culture and importance to employees’ suggestions and their grievances helps in building better organization.
