ABSTRACT Pharmacogonosy is defined as the scientific study of the structural physical, chemical and biological characters of crude drugs along together with their history cultivation, collection, preparation for the market and preservation. Hands are primary modes of infection. Microbial infection has emerged as critical issue in children and workers. Hand washing is extremely imperative in healthcare and domestic sector. This research was aimed to evaluate the antibacterial efficacy of various herbs such as lemon, tulsi, honey, turmeric, aloe Vera, showed better antibacterial, antimicrobial and antiseptic activities. The research was carried out to formulate and evaluate the poly herbal hand wash. Physical and chemical characteristics like colour, odour, test, PH, Viscosity, grittiness, Foam height, Foam retention, Skin irritation test, and other parameters were used to evaluate herbal hand wash, and also the results were found to be within normal ranges with minimum to no adverse effects.
