| Abstract: | That Long Silence Is One Of The Novels Of Shashi Deshpande Which Signifies The Pitiful State Of Indian Woman. It Is An Impression Of Sufferings Of An Indian Woman In The Unyielding Social Milieu I.E., Family. It Also Reflects How Woman Suffers Profoundly And Wind Up Life Silently Exposing Molestations Of Male. The Sacrifice Made By Women Partner Is Not Really Seen By The Male Overwhelmed Society. The Author Wants Such Women Who Suffer To End Their Silence In The Wake Of Feminist Development. The Novel Illustrates The Picture Of Women In The Working Class Family And The Manner In Which She Is Sandwiched Between The Custom And Innovation. Having Understood Her Position, Jaya Would Not Acknowledge The Prior Picture Of A Couple Of Bullocks Burdened Together, Flagging A Cold Couple. She Comes To Understand That Life Can Simply Be Made Conceivable. The Prior Incautious Jaya Turns Into A Develop Woman, And With Her Acknowledgment, Shadows That Come Upon Amongst Spouse And Husband Has A Tendency To Vanish. Deshpande Attempts To Build Up That It Isn't Just The Man Centric Set Up Which Is In Charge Of The Women's Condition In The Indian Culture. |
