Abstract

("Coronavirus is just tip of the iceberg", said Bat Woman, Shi Zhengli to the world. The COVID-19 pandemic had disrupted the world- socially, economically and politically. The pandemic from a health crisis, threatened the global sustainability. Presently whole world putting aside all their obligations channelized their wealth and resources for public healthcare and safety. The coronavirus pandemic said to have first appeared in the Wuhan, China in December 2019. There are many theories relating to the origin and spread of the virus. Many western countries leveled China as liable for the disaster on humanity. The US President Donald Trump repeatedly termed it as "Chinese virus", and a "bad gift' of China to the world, holding it responsible for the spread of virus globally. Subsequently US, Australia and other nations demanding scientific and professional investigations by WHO. The role in this critical juncture was significant. On 14th March 2020, the WHO, declared it as world pandemic. Donald Trump questioned WHO's functions and blamed Tedros as puppet in the hands of the Chinese CCP. At the first place US stopped funding, followed by cutting all its relationship with WHO. The IMF said world economic is now under recession due to COVID-19. Manny economists and experts opine that the 1930's great depression has revisited in 2020, due to disruption of COVID-19. The economic stability of many countries was under severe threat. India which is Asia’s third largest economy had been hit hard for nearly two months lockdown. 1.4 billion People have lost their livelihoods. Consecutive lockdowns since 24 March 2020 at pan-Indian level led to shutting down of the industries (MSME' s). Both urban and rural India has been hit hard. Indian economy has been disrupted; as many as 14 million people have lost their livelihoods due to COVID-19 pandemic. The Government of India, announced package plan to revamp Indian economy in 2020. In the post-pandemic it has become a herculean task for any government to replenish and restructure the society.)
