Abstract
In this study a systematic isolation of salmonella spp in the period of June 2017- December 2019 was carried out. Total 963 samples were collected, out of which 335 (34.78%) were positive for salmonella. Amongst them 268(80%) samples were found to be resistance to at least one class of the antibiotic. In this study antibiotic groups like Aminoglycosides, Beta-lactamase inhibitor, Cephalosporins, Carbapenems, Macrolide, Quinolone, and Tetracycline types of antibiotics were used. Amongst them high resistance of salmonella to tetracycline (76.49%) and lowest resistance to imipenem (12.31%) was observed.
