Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of connected physical devices and objects that can share data and perform tasks over the internet. In agriculture, IoT can help feed the expected 9.5 billion people by 2050. A smart farming system, using IoT, can boost crop productivity and reduce waste. This study developed a crop-field monitoring and automated irrigation system. Sensors track crop temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. Data from the sensors is sent wirelessly to a server using the ThingSpeak API. A website displays the sensor readings graphically, encoded in JSON format. The irrigation system only waters when soil moisture drops below a certain level, ensuring healthy crop growth. Farmers receive alerts through a website dashboard and a mobile app, allowing them to monitor their fields anytime, anywhere
