| Abstract: | Bank play an important role not only for an individual but also for the business and economy as a whole. One of the fast growing sector in India needs to evaluate the performance for the benefit of future. Banking sector has performed well in last two decades. Hence researcher has selected a topic to compare the performance of private and public sector banks using CAMEL model. The comparison was done by using various ratios Capital Adequacy, Asset’s Quality, Management efficiency, Earning Quality and Liquidity. The SBI bank performed in public sector whereas HDFC performed best in private sector. |
