Abstract: ABSTRACT- Intrusion detection in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a type of security management system for computers and networks. An intrusion detection system gathers and analyzes information from various areas within a computer or a network to identify possible security breaches, which include both intrusions (attacks from outside the organization) and misuse (attacks from within the organization). The system uses vulnerability assessment (sometimes referred to as scanning), which is a technology developed to assess the security of a computer system or network. The intrusion detection application concerns how fast the intruder can be detected by the WSN. If sensors are deployed with a high density so that the union of all sensing ranges covers the entire network area, the intruder can be immediately detected once it approaches the network area.
