| Abstract: | The landscape of education in India is experiencing a significant transformation with the rise of online education platforms. This study investigates the factors influencing the adoption of these platforms, aiming to provide insights for educators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. Through a descriptive research design and data collected from 110 participants, the study reveals a strong preference for skill-based courses, especially among young adults. Accessibility barriers, including technological constraints and limited internet infrastructure, pose significant challenges, along with concerns about course quality and cost. Gender influences decision-making, while age groups show no significant correlation with overcoming barriers. The findings emphasize the importance of tailored strategies, ongoing innovation, and equitable access to foster the widespread adoption and success of online education platforms in India's evolving educational landscape. |
