Cybersecurity incident response (CIR) is a critical component of an organization's cybersecurity posture. It is the process of identifying, containing, eradicating, and recovering from cybersecurity incidents. A well-defined CIR plan can help organizations minimize the damage caused by cyberattacks and protect their valuable assets.
This research paper provides a comprehensive review of CIR systems. It discusses the different phases of CIR, the key roles and responsibilities involved, and the tools and technologies that can be used to support CIR activities. The paper also discusses the challenges of implementing and maintaining an effective CIR system and provides recommendations for improving CIR capabilities.
